2013 was our 2nd full year of dedication to fly fishing, and our best year of fishing so far. Though work and school kept us all busy, and postponed the launch of the website, we made it a priority to put in lots of time on the water, particularly new waters, and were rewarded for our efforts. Some new places we explored became regular destinations. Though Logan isn't necessarily a hot spot for big trout water, it is, fortunately, in an area that has a LOT of quality water within a 3 hour radius. Throughout the year we tried to take advantage of this as much as possible. Here is a quick look at some of our favorite fishing moments of the year.
Preoccupied by school, a lot of our fishing was local. But putting in time on local waters resulted in some nice fish. We did manage a couple of short trips in Utah and up to Wyoming. We also focused on catching some new species on the fly.
In the summer we were able to frequent a few of our new found favorite spots, and make a few awesome trips to new waters that we had researched. We also had a blast adding carp to our list of species on the fly.
Fall was prime time. What angler doesn't love fall. Instead of going into too many details, I'll let the pictures do the talking. It was a great end to a great year of fishing.
We're excited to keep learning and improving in 2014 and look forward to sharing some of it with you!
