Fishing is pretty fun I guess. Actually, it's the greatest activity a person can participate in! I am the researcher. I obsessively pore over any information I can get my hands on to try and learn about new waters, and figure them out: maps, books, state biologist reports, the interwebs, stocking reports, redd counts, stream gage data. I love to pull together all of the resources I can in order to find BIG fish. I also love to learn about the ecosystems and find out what makes them big... which helps me to find more big fish in the future! I will be graduating in Spring 2015 with a degree in watershed sciences, and as a watershed scientist I am equally interested in the ecology of aquatic systems and the physical properties of those systems, and how the two relate and interact to produce fish. I've fly fished fairly obsessively for the past few years, and love to explore the new places that our fishing and research take us.
